CHECK IF YOU’RE ELIGIBLE – PENSION CREDIT
Pension Credit gives people extra money to help with their living costs if they are over State Pension age and on a low income. Pension Credit can also provide access to a range of other benefits such as help with housing costs, council tax, heating bills and for those aged 75 or over, a free TV licence.
Pension Credit is separate from your State Pension, and you can get Pension Credit even if you have other income, savings, or own your home. The Department for Work and Pensions estimates that up to 760,000 pensioner households may be entitled to Pension Credit, but do not claim it, so it’s important to check.
See how much you could get at https://apply-for-pension-credit.service.gov.uk/start
You can also call the Pension Credit claim line on 0800 99 1234
You must live in England, Scotland or Wales and have reached State Pension age to qualify for Pension Credit. Find out more in this video by the Department for Work & Pensions here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6WbfZc2UV4&t=143s
